RunningWorks Cross Country Camp: Recreation at Blair Academy, 2006

This page shows runners just enjoying themselves. In addition to the common rooms -- equipped with TV's -- that are available in the dorms, there's an indoor pool, a campus Canteen for snacks and relaxing, and a wrestling gym that works perfectly for great games of dodgeball! Also, many outdoor games -- from volleyball and frisbee to whiffle ball and kickball -- are encouraged! And, if you schedule your afternoon time well, you can actually play a round on Blair's 9-hole golf course! In addition to all of that, RunningWorks' signature Trivia Night and the Dance Social are also wildly entertaining events.

Unfortunately, the main camp camera crashed on our first day and we were forced to use another that was not designed for quality sports shots, especially indoors. That means there are no decent pictures of the pool or canteen activities, and none of the rugged dodgeball games or of the Dance Social. There are, however, some of wiffle ball and Trivia Night.

The 1st Annual Dodgeball Tournament was a great success with the Staff team beating a Pope John team on a technicality! However, Pope John came back strongly when they won the Trivia Night competition, answering questions on Track and Cross Country, Faces, Logos and Music! The Theme Award went to the Barbie team, with the Devils With Water Bottle Heads coming in second. Team 6 made the most unusual entrance and unnerveded the censors; while The Kid From Dinner team was much too subtle for many of the judges!
